Standard Disclosures may be issued for people entering certain professions, such as members of the legal and accountancy professions or may be taken out by an employer to ensure that an employee does not have a history that would make them unsuitable for posts they are trying to fill, such as employees with a responsibility of security or finance within the organisation they are applying to.
A Standard Disclosure contains all convictions held on the police National Computer including current and "spent" convictions as well as details of any cautions, reprimands or final warnings.
