What is Ebulk?
EBulk is a CRB system which allows applicants to complete their CRB application completely online. It allows the ID verifier to complete their sections online as well. Once the form is completed and checked by Personnel Checks, it is submitted using ebulk via a secure encrypted connection directly to the Criminal Record Bureau. EBulk reduces errors by validating data as soon as it’s entered and speeds up the whole CRB process from start to end.
How secure is Ebulk?
EBulk is extremely secure. The system has had to pass strict testing phases conducted by the Criminal Record Bureau and the Ministry of Justice before it was authorised to be used. All the data is firstly encrypted by ebulk and sent securely to the Criminal Record Bureau’s server and then we receive the CRB results back in the same format.
How easy to use is Ebulk?
EBulk has been designed with the user in mind. You are given your own login details for our online portal and each section of the application is done in stages with hints and tips along the way. The system will tell you if something has been entered incorrectly or in the wrong format. We also have a dedicated EBulk support team that are available to answer your query at any time.
How long does it take to complete to complete the CRB form using Ebulk?
It takes an average of 30 minutes for the applicant to complete their section of the CRB application form using ebulk and around 15 minutes for the ID verifier to complete the other part of the form.
How long will it take for the response to come back using Ebulk?
A Standard CRB Check can be returned within 24 hours using e-bulk rather than an average of 10 days when using a paper based or non ebulk system.
An Enhanced CRB disclosure can be returned within 4 to 5 days using ebulk rather than 14 days which is the average turnaround time when using a non ebulk system.
