You can now apply for your DBS & DVLA checks online through a dedicated web system. This is supported by City of Wolverhampton Council’s approved third party DBS & DVLA check provider, Personnel Checks, and allows for you to complete your DBS & DVLA check in much less time and means you will only need to attend the council offices when applying for your badge.

Personnel Checks specialise in DBS & DVLA checks for taxi drivers and work with a number of authorities across the UK. Personnel Checks average turnaround time is 10-14 days, with many checks being completed in under 24 hours.

To obtain your DBS & DVLA check, you simply need to complete your online application and have your ID documents verified at an approved ID station (usually a crown post office). There are 5 crown post offices within a 10 mile radius of Wolverhampton.  Personnel Checks will provide you with a link to the post office branch finder, so you can find the nearest ID station to your location.
