If you wish to track your DBS (formerly CRB) application, you’ve come to the right place. There is a different method for tracking depending on which level of DBS you have applied for. This page will provide you with all the information you need to track any type of DBS application. 

STANDARD & ENHANCED DBS CHECKS

ONLINE TRACKING

Tracking a Standard or Enhanced DBS Check online couldn’t be easier. Type the information specified below into the tracking system here and it will give you the most up-to-date information regarding the progress of your online DBS Check.

You will need:

  • The application form reference number (which you should have received via email)

  • The applicant's date of birth

TELEPHONE TRACKING

If you would prefer to track your DBS application via phone call, you can call the Disclosure & Barring Service directly on 03000 200 190.

You will need:

  • Applicant's full name

  • Applicant's date of birth

  • Applicant's address

It helps if you know your DBS reference number - but it's not essential!

BASIC DBS CHECKS

If you wish to track your Basic DBS Check online, follow the link below. You will then need to type the information specified below into the tracking system and it will give you the most up to date information regarding the progress of your DBS Check.

You will need:

  • The application form reference number (which we have emailed to you already)

  • Applicant's surname

  • Applicant's Date of Birth
