Important Information - DBS Service Availability

Next week, the DBS will be updating their technical services and in order to make changes to their IT systems, some of their disclosure services will be suspended from 
Thursday 6th March to Wednesday 12th March 2014

We will still be able to submit your applications to the DBS at this time, however please be aware there may be a small delay in receiving the result of DBS checks.

How your applications may be affected;

Paper Application Forms
We are still able to send your completed paper applications to the DBS throughout this period. However, they will take a few extra days to appear on the DBS tracking service.

E-bulk service (online applications)
You can still submit your online applications throughout this period, however eBulk applications sent to the DBS after 5pm on Thursday 6th March will be held until 8am on Wednesday 12th March when the DBS will restart the processing and acknowledgement of these files.

Please note as a result applications may take a few extra days to be acknowledged and appear on the DBS tracking service.

DBS certificates
No DBS certificates will be printed or dispatched between Thursday 6th March and Tuesday 11th March.

Reprints of DBS certificates requested after 1pm on Thursday 6th March will not be issued until Wednesday 12th March.

Update Service 
Will be unavailable between Thursday 6th March and 8am on Wednesday 12th March.

However, Customers will have an additional 5 days to apply for the Update Service so that they are not disadvantaged by the suspension of the service. Customers are advised to apply as early as they can.

DBS tracking service
Will be unavailable between 5pm on Friday 7th March and 8am on Wednesday 12th March

DBS Adult First Service 
Will be unavailable between Thursday 6th March and 8am on Wednesday 12th March. Adult First results will not be issued on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th March.
