A Basic Criminal Record Check is the only level which is available for individuals to obtain for themselves. Organisations can also access this level on behalf of their employees.

Standard DBS Check (for organisations only)
This level of CRB Check is only available to organisations to access on behalf of their employees. An individual cannot apply for a Standard CRB Check on themselves.

Enhanced DBS Check (for organisations only)
This check can only be requested by organisations on behalf of their staff. Individuals cannot apply for Enhanced DBS Checks on themselves.These checks are recommended for positions involving work in a regulated activity site, with possibility for contact with either children or vulnerable adults.

How to apply for a check as an individual
