Our IDSP Partner YOTI are experiencing a System Outage

Our identity service provider, Yoti, is currently dealing with a sustained denial-of-service (DDoS) attack against their platform. As a result, parts of our online identity verification service are either unavailable or running with intermittent issues.

Yoti's security and engineering teams are working to restore full service, and they are posting live updates on their public status page: status.yoti.com.

What this means for you

Depending on when you try to use our service, you may notice:

  • Online ID checks failing to start, stalling part-way through, or timing out.

  • Verification links in your emails not loading correctly.

  • Slower than usual response times when an ID check does complete.

Checks that have already been submitted and processed are not affected by this incident, and no action is needed on those.

What we're doing

We are monitoring Yoti's status updates closely and will bring our service back to normal as soon as their platform is fully restored. At this stage we do not have a confirmed fix time, and we do not have an alternative route for online ID verification that we can switch to safely in the short term.

What we'd ask you to do

For now, the most reliable option is to pause and try again a little later. If you have an urgent check that cannot wait, please contact our support team and we'll do our best to help you find a workaround.

We know how frustrating it is when something outside of your control gets in the way of your recruitment process, and we're genuinely sorry for the disruption this is causing. Thank you for bearing with us while Yoti works through the incident; we'll update this page the moment we have more to share.
